The Plaza Hotel, NY
Out of all the grand New York City venues you could find, The Plaza Hotel is surely one of the most iconic places for a wedding. And for good reason — the five-star luxury hotel radiates glitz and glamour, beginning with its location, amenities and incredible views. Bordering Central Park South, right on NYC’s infamous Fifth Avenue, The Plaza sits at a prime spot with high-end boutiques and restaurants on every corner. The prestigious hotel has a proud history of hosting the rich and famous, and has appeared in several blockbusters like Home Alone 2 in 1992, Bride Wars in 2009 and The Great Gatsby in 2013.
Raul and Pragati celebrated the luxury Indian wedding of their dreams at The Plaza Hotel, and it was truly an unforgettable event. Hindu weddings tend to last for several days and gather large groups of people, so their choice of venue needed to be just as grand and fit for such a sensational event. Every detail was perfectly thought through, with no wish left unattended: From their lively, colorful outdoor Sangeet to their elegant, traditional ceremony in The Plaza’s Grand Ballroom — it was all brought to life in a spectacular manner. The couple walked down the aisle surrounded by a sea of flowers and said yes beneath a stunning altar dressed in gold and white. It was a truly sensational ceremony. Their reception was held not far away from The Plaza Hotel, at the Ziegfeld Ballroom, with a magical purple garden theme.
